Uttarakhand Corona update 19 April: 2 new cases in Dehradun

Two more cases of coronavirus have been reported positive in Uttarakhand on Sunday. The total number of infected patients in the state has now increased to 44. Preparations are on to get patients admitted to Doon Medical College Hospital.

Reports of 334 samples from Medical College Haldwani, AIIMS Rishikesh and Private Pathology Lab have been reported today, in which two cases are positive and 332 negative. Director General of Health Dr. Amita Upreti has confirmed corona in both patients.

11 patients discharged till date

After the second sample report of each infected patient from Doon Medical College and Almora Base Hospital came negative, they were discharged from the hospital. Together including these two patients so far 11  corona infected patients have recovered in the state.

Three districts have been declared Red Zone

The state has been divided into three zones based on corona infected cases. So far, 80 percent of the total corona virus cases have been reported in Dehradun, Nainital and Haridwar with the maximum cases being reported in Dehradun.

Therefore all three districts are included in the Red Zone. At the same time, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora and Pauri have been included in the Orange Zone. The other seven districts are included in the Green Zone.
