Platinum rich asteroid worth 5 trillion dollars set to pass by earth
A mindblogging 5 million dollar worth asteroid is set to light up the night sky as it will pass by our planet at about 11 P.M GMT on Sunday July 19th.

Stargazers are in for a treat as a huge asteroid is set to pass by the Earth at about 11 pm GMT on Sunday. People in India can watch it live on the internet at 4 am on Monday. Scientists over at NASA estimate that this asteroid that will fly by Earth just hours from now has a diameter of 330 to 750 meters (roughly 1,100 to 2,500 feet), meaning that, at least when compared to other space rocks that have visited us in the past, it is quite big.
The platinum-rich asteroid officially named 2011 UW158, will pass Earth at a distance of an estimated 2.4 million kilometers, according to the Goldstone Radar Observatory. It will be 30 times closer to Earth than the closest planet of the Solar system.
Slooh – a project which links telescopes to the internet – will broadcast images from an observatory in the Canary Islands, volcanic archipelago off the coast of northwestern Africa.
“It’s always fun when an asteroid whooshes past our world, so Slooh will be watching live when UW-158 passes 30 times closer to us than the nearest planet, on July 19,” Slooh astronomer Bob Berman said.
