4 feared dead as car falls into Alaknanda near Devprayag

Devprayag/New Tehri: A car accident occured near Devprayag in Tehri garhwal district on Sunday morning. According to reports, a Bolero car reportedly lost control and fell into the the Alaknanda river below. Police suspect all four passengers of the car drowned in the accident.

According to eyewitness accounts, a Bolero car was traveling from Rishikesh towards Kirtinagar, at around 8:30 A.M the car lost control and fell in the river below. The police arrived on the spot on getting the news of the accident and recovered a bag from the scene. From the contents of the bag they were able to identify the passengers Ashutosh Sharma 32 years (s/o of Lokesh Sharma r/o Sahibabad, Ghaziabad), Rahul Sisodia 31 years (s/o R.P Singh, r/o Sector-8, Faridabad) and Shivkant age 34 years who the police think may have drowned  in the accident. The search and rescue mission was on for the survivors.
