Tehri to host 1st International Acro Fest from 24 to 28 November
Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board has prepared a plan to develop Tehri as the paragliding capital of the world. Tehri Lake will play a very important role in this. Tehri Lake has emerged as a suitable place for various adventure sports activities including paragliding, water sports. According to some Indian experts, Tehri in Uttarakhand has the potential to become the paragliding hub of the world.
Realizing the paragliding potential of Tehri, UTDB has planned to organize Tehri Acro Festival from 24 to 28 November 2023. This will be India’s first international aerial acrobatic show, in which more than 150 renowned paragliders including around 35 international paragliders will participate. This event will last for five days.
Many aerobatic programs and competitions will be organized in it. This will give a thrilling sight in the sky. This event will mark the beginning of paragliding activities in Tehri. Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has also started paragliding training programs like P1, P2, P3 and SIV at various places to provide skills to the local youth.
