‘Tehri Acro Festival’ begins in Tehri
Cabinet Minister/In-charge Prem Chand Aggarwal flagged off the inauguration of ‘Tehri Acro Festival’. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal was also present on this occasion.
State Finance, Urban Development and Housing Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal congratulated everyone on ‘Tehri Acro Festival’. He said that the entire area of Tehri Lake has immense potential for water sports and adventure sports. Cultural programs are also being organized in the festival, such activities will give an identity to the region on the world map and will also provide employment opportunities. He said that about 43 trainees have been given training in paragliding in different categories from P-1 to P-4. He extended best wishes for the success of the festival.
On this occasion, Forest, Technical Education, Language and Election Minister Subodh Uniyal said that Tehri Lake has many possibilities for adventure sports and to increase the economy of Tehri district. This is a good start for the success of paragliding, continuity of tourism and maintaining its identity in the country and abroad. The children here will benefit from this and the economy will increase due to increase in all types of tourism.
‘Tehri Acro Festival’ organized in Koti Colony, Tehri Garhwal under the aegis of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council. It has started on Friday, November 24, 2023, which will continue till November 28, 2023. 130 pilots from 28 countries including India are participating in the festival, which includes 50 foreigners and 80 pilots from different states of India. Paragliders are taking off from take off point Pratapnagar and landing in Koti Colony.
