3 siblings die after being trapped under falling debris on house

The deeply saddening accident in Tehri in Uttarakhand shook everyone. The death of three siblings is being mourned not only in their house, but the whole village. Neelam, daughter of Dharam Singh’s brother-in-law, had visited her uncle’s house a few days earlier. During this, her inter results were also announced.

Ankit (son Dharam Singh) and Neelam (daughter Kamal Singh) passed the Inter exam with good numbers, which gave the family a happy atmosphere. Due to the festival of Raksha Bandhan, she stayed at her uncle-aunt’s house.

Villagers said that Dharam Singh’s elder son studies in Dehradun, who had been at home for several days, but returned to Dehradun on Thursday. Dharam Singh’s wife Deva Devi also went to her maternal home on Thursday for some work.

At around 3:30 am on Friday morning, debris fell on the two-storey house of Dharam Singh, resident of Khedagad village, during the work of All weather Road .

Meanwhile, Ankit and Vinita, son and daughter of Dharam Singh Negi, as well as Neelam , the daughter of Kamal Singh, resident of his Narendranagar were also buried under the debris. All three died on the spot.

DM Mangesh Ghildiyal has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident. Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal and former MLA Om Gopal also reached the spot on the information of the incident. The debris fell on the house after heavy rains in the area.

The villagers somehow informed the police-administration about the house being buried under the debris. The police-administration along with the SDRF team reached the spot at five in the morning. Where Rescue work started with the help of SDRF and JCB.
