Committee decides marking formula for Uttarakhand board students
Corona has changed everything. The biggest impact of this has been on the country’s economy and the education of children. Because ever since the corona outbreak began, children’s schools have not opened. Online education has become the new norm. Many students are traveling from one place to another in search of better network in remote areas of the state. This year 10th and 12th examinations were also canceled due to Corona, but the session will have to be kept regular. Therefore, the government has decided the formula of giving marks to the students of these classes. The Education Department has prepared the evaluation basis for the results of 10th and 12th examinations. This proposal will soon be placed in the meeting of the Education Department. The Education Department had given the responsibility of deciding the formula for evaluation to the committee. It was decided in the meeting of the committee that the students of class 10th and 12th would be given marks on the basis of the marks of the previous examinations. According to this, students of class 10th will be given marks on the basis of performance of class 9.
The same formula will be adopted for 12th class students as well. 12th students will get marks on the basis of 11th performance. Along with this, the committee has also sought the marks of monthly tests conducted in February and March from all the schools. The marks obtained in practical will also be taken into account while giving marks. For this, old records related to practical have been sought from schools. On the basis of this, practical marks will be given to the students. According to Director General of School Education Vinay Shankar Pandey, the basis of evaluation has been decided in the meeting of the committee. The marks of monthly tests and practical performance have been sought from all the schools held in February and March. These will also be made the basis of the result. Evaluation will be done on the basis of 9th and 11th marks.
