Uttarakhand sees highest Corona cases in last two months

Cases of death of corona patients in Uttarakhand have stopped, but infected cases are increasing. Two months later, the most number of infected cases were reported in a single day. Within the last 24 hours, 137 people have been found corona infected in 11 districts. The total number of infected has increased to 98448.

According to the Health Department, on Sunday, the investigation report of 9839 samples has come negative. Except Champawat and Pithoragarh districts, 137 have been found infected in the remaining 11 districts. At the same time, corona patients have not died in the state for six days. 53 corona patients have been found in Dehradun district.

41 have been found in Haridwar, 15 in Udham Singh Nagar, 14 in Nainital, 5 in Chamoli, 2 each in Tehri, Pauri, Almora, 1 each in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar district. The total number of infected people in the state has increased to 98448.

At the same time, 32 patients were discharged. Including these, 94462 patients have become healthy. Active patients are increasing as the number of patients recovering compared to the infected is decreasing. Presently 861 active patients are undergoing treatment.

Two lakh Covid vaccine consignment will arrive on Monday

As part of the ongoing immunization drive to prevent corona infection, a consignment of two lakh vaccines will reach Uttarakhand on Monday. Covid vaccine will be brought to the state by road from Karnal. This time too, the state is getting a Covishield vaccine prepared by Serum Institute Pune.

Covid vaccination has been started in the state from 16 January. So far, more than seven lakh Covid vaccine doses have been made available to the state by the Center. In the third phase of vaccination, the vaccine is being administered to the elderly aged above 60 years and those suffering from other diseases between the age of 45 to 59 years. The vaccination campaign is going on smoothly in the state.

Director National Health Mission Dr. Saroj Naithani said that on March 22, more than two lakh covid vaccine will reach the state. The vehicle has been dispatched to bring the vaccine from Karnal. This time the vaccine will be brought to the state by road, following cold chain standards.
