Uttarakhand weather update: Temperatures on the rise in the state
After continuous rains in Uttarakhand, now the weather is changing rapidly. Due to the dry weather for a few days, the temperature is rising rapidly. People have started suffering the effects heat, while the hot air in the plains is increasing the problems of the people. The maximum temperature in most areas has reached close to 37 degree Celsius. However, from today the weather is expected to change in the hilly areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the possibility of thunderstorms and hailstorm has also been expressed at some places in the mountains, for this a yellow alert has also been issued at some places.
Bright sunshine in the plains
The weather has remained dry in Uttarakhand for the last one week. However, there is still partly cloudy sky in the hilly areas. On the contrary, there was bright sunshine in the surrounding areas including Dehradun on Friday. Due to which an increase of about one and a half degree Celsius was registered in the mercury. In most of the plains, amidst the scorching sun, hot wind gusts are troubling the people from venturing outside.
Western Disturbance can knock till today evening
According to the Meteorological Department, by this evening the Western Disturbance can knock in Uttarakhand. Due to which there may be light rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.
