Cleanliness survey 2021: Indore tops for fifth time in a row, Dehradun at 82nd spot

Dehradun, which again topped Uttarakhand in the cleanliness survey 2021, has secured 82nd place among the cleanest cities of the country. Whereas in last year’s survey, Dehradun had secured 124th position. Meanwhile Indore won the title of cleanest city in India for the fifth consecutive year.

Dehradun Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama congratulated the Municipal Commissioner, all the officers, employees and residents of Doon through a video call. Said that it is the blessings of the people of Dehradun, that the corporation is consistently performing better and getting better rank in the cleanliness survey.

He said that ‘it would not have been possible to get this place without the cooperation of the residents of Doon. The aware Doon residents are giving the garbage coming out of their homes and shops to the pickup vehicles run by the corporation. This is the reason why now roadside bins are not seen full of garbage. The city started looking clean due to the garbage scattered on the streets being cleaned regularly.’
