PM Modi virtually flags off Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi flagged off the indigenous train Vande Bharat from the capital Dehradun to Lucknow through virtual medium. Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and key officials of Railways were present during this period.

New Vande Bharat express train has been started from Dehradun to Lucknow. Before flagging off the train, a program was organized at the railway station, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several railway-related projects through VC. This time, One Station One Product program was also started in this program.

Railways started this train for the first time from platform number two at Dehradun railway station. A program has been organized at the station itself to listen to the Prime Minister’s address. In which dignitaries including Governor, Gurmeet Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Principal Secretary Radha Raturi, ministers, MPs, MLAs were present.

Many LEDs were installed at the railway station to hear and see the Prime Minister’s address. Vande Bharat train was prepared in the train yard. After washing the train, it was decorated with flowers. The train left at 9:30 am.

Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, which runs six days a week, will complete the journey in eight hours 20 minutes. Whereas other trains take 11 to 12 hours to cover the same distance.

This train will stop at seven stations between Dehradun and Lucknow. Railway officials said that the complete schedule of operation of the train will be released after the inauguration.
