Uttarakhand new Corona guidelines: All restrictions removed; ban on political rallies till 10 March

There will be a ban on political rally, sit-in demonstration in the state till March 10. Due to this, naturally, there will be no procession-demonstration on the day of counting of votes for the assembly elections to be held on March 10. The government has made this provision in the revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued on Monday late evening of the Covid restrictions implemented in the state. Barring this, the ban has been lifted from all activities in the state. All Anganwadi centers will also open in the state from Tuesday.

On 16 February, the government had relaxed the Covid ban on the decrease in the cases of corona infection. Then the night curfew implemented in the state was ended. Also, gyms, shopping malls, cinema halls, spas, salons, theatres, auditoriums, hotels, restaurants, eateries and dhabas were allowed to operate at full capacity. Restrictions on social, cultural, sports and recreational activities, events like marriage ceremonies were removed. Offline classes for schools were allowed to open.

In the revised SOP issued on Monday, now permission has been given to open the swimming pool, water park to operate with full capacity. Earlier it was banned till 28 February. Apart from this, the presence of employees in all the offices of the state has been ensured with full capacity. However, the period of prohibition on political rallies, dharnas and demonstrations has been extended till March 10.

Earlier it was decided that all 20066 Anganwadi centers in the state would open from March 1. For this, the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development has also issued a separate SOP. According to this, the Anganwadi centers will be completely sanitized before opening. Along with adhering to safe physical distance, every activity of Anganwadi centers will follow covid due behavior.
