Several flights in US cancelled due to storm

Hundreds of flights were canceled all over the USA  and thousands of flights were delayed due to the passing of a powerful storm in the winter from the middle of America, due to which Christmas holiday celebrants were troubled. According to FlightAware, which monitors flights, more than 6,500 flights were delayed and about 800 flights were canceled.
Due to rain, snowfall and strong winds in the northern and central plains of the country, it was dangerous to travel by road too. In some areas, snow was seen more than a foot on Friday before the storm intensity weakened.

Officials have informed that in some parts of Nebraska the visibility is very low and they have closed an interstate road. North Dakota has advised not to travel to the eastern part of the state. The weather deteriorated at a time when many American citizens are traveling for Christmas holidays.
