Uttarakhand corona update: 8164 recoveries; 2906 new cases on 22 May
Uttarakhand has more patients recovering on Saturday than the corona infected. In 24 hours, 64 patients died and 2906 new cases were found. While 8164 patients were discharged after recovering.
According to the Health Department, on Saturday, 610 cases were in Dehradun district, 256 in Nainital, 465 in Haridwar, 183 in Udham Singh Nagar, 160 in Chamoli, 40 in Bageshwar, 131 in Rudraprayag, 112 in Pithoragarh, 221 in Almora, 281 in Tehri, 58 in Uttarkashi, 297 in Pauri and 89 in Champawat district.
The death toll in the state has reached 5734. At the same time, 8164 patients were discharged. With this, 241430 patients have become healthy. Currently 57929 active patients are being treated in hospitals and home isolation.
To prevent corona infection in the state, the government is focused on creating a containment zone. Within a month, 425 containment zones have been created in 13 districts of the state. So far, a total of 531 containment zones have been created in the state.

Police field horsemen in battle against Corona
In the ongoing war from Corona, the Dehradun police have also fielded their horsemen. These have been deployed in markets and mandis. So that, unnecessary crowds that come here can be controlled easily.
Some people are unnecessarily taking advantage of the relaxation in the Covid curfew. In such a situation, there is a huge crowd in markets and mandis. Since, foot soldiers are also at risk of infection. In such a situation, the cavalry squad is now given the responsibility of crowd control. According to the information received from the police, these cavalrymen will be specially deployed at these places.
These include Hanuman Chowk, Bhandari Chowk and Mandi Tiraha Barrier in Kotwali area, Niranjanpur Mandi, ISBT in Patel Nagar area and Dharampur Mandi in Nehru Colony. According to the police, the cavalry squad will also make people aware of the corona at these places. So that, the crowd there is minimized and people can be protected from infection.
