Benjamin Netanyahu to become PM of Israel for the record fifth time

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is heading for history. He will be in charge of the Prime Minister for the fifth time. In the parliamentary elections held in Israel on Tuesday,  no party has got a majority, however, Netanyahu will form a coalition government in collaboration with other nationalists and religious parties. After the victory, 69-year-old Netanyahu told supporters, “Dialogue with right-wing groups and religious parties has begun to form a coalition government.” One thing I want to clarify is that it will be a right-wing government, but my intention is to become the Prime Minister of all Israeli citizens. “

According to the Israeli media, 97.4 percent of the votes have been counted. Netanyahu’s Likud Party and its traditional allies seem to get 65 seats in the 120-member parliament. The center-left parties have an edge over 55 seats. Likud and Blue and White parties are at par. Both of them seem to get 35-35 seats. The final outcome of the election can be reached by Thursday, but the results of it so far show that Netanyahu will easily form a coalition government in collaboration with other nationalist parties.
