Fake circular declaring holiday in Uttarakhand on November 8 goes viral

The fake order to declare November 8 as a public holiday on the Igas festival celebrated in the month of Kartik in Uttarakhand is becoming very viral on social media. Officials say no such order has been issued. At the same time, the Secretariat Association has also demanded an inquiry from Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi.
Surprisingly, in the fake order there are signatures of Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. At the same time, after the order has gone viral, Igas has also been declared in schools of many districts. Although sources say that the state government is considering declaring the holiday, but issuing fake orders in this manner is a serious matter. After this, ACS Raturi issued an explanation saying that no such order has been issued. An FIR will be filed regarding the letter.

On Wednesday, after former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Uttarakhand Child Protection Commission chairperson Usha Negi, now Uttarakhand State Secretariat Association and the Hill Teachers Association also appealed to the Chief Minister to declare a holiday to preserve the traditional festival.

Uttarakhand Secretariat Association President Deepak Joshi and General Secretary Rakesh Joshi wrote a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard. He said that Igas is the important festival of Uttarakhand.

The cultural identity of Uttarakhand is attached to it. Presently local citizens and child girls are not able to keep much information about Igas, due to which the culture of Uttarakhand is on the verge of extinction gradually. Since then, this order has been going viral on social media.
