Arun Jaitley writes to PM to exclude him from cabinet post

Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Wednesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) to exclude him from being part of the new government. Arun Jaitley has cited health reasons in the letter.

Addressing PM Modi in the letter, it has been written that “it is a matter of great pride for me to work in your leadership government for the last five years and it has been an educative experience. Even before this, the party entrusted me with various responsibility in the first National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, in the party organization and also when we were in opposition. I could not even now expect more than that.

During the last 18 months, I had to face serious health challenges. My physicians have successfully thrown me out of most of the challenges. When the election campaign had ended and you were going to Kedarnath, then I told you to orally that I was able to fulfill the responsibilities given during the campaigning, I would like to be away from responsibility for some time in the future. With this I can focus on my health and medical care. The BJP and the NDA have won a great victory in your leadership. The new government will take oath tomorrow.”

Arun Jaitley further wrote that “I am writing to formally request you that I need some time for myself, for my medical treatment and for my health, and that’s why I should not be given any responsibility in the new government. I will definitely have a lot of time in this period in which I will be able to help the government and the party informally.”
