Daughter kills father in Uttarkashi
The only daughter in Tian village killed her father with a spade. State Police arrested the accused girl and sent the body for post-mortem. According to state police, Kavita, daughter of Terepan Lal, from Tian village, located in Barkot tehsil, had come there. On Monday night, she got into a fight with her father on something. During this time, the girl hit the head of the father with a spade.
In this attack 52-year-old Terepan Lal died on the spot. In the meantime the villagers gathered there and the matter was reported to the police. State police reached the village on Tuesday and filed a murder case against the accused. Then the accused was arrested and brought to Barkot late in the evening. She is being questioned about the reasons behind this heinous incident. Barkot SDM Anurag Arya told that it is a matter of murder at first sight. He said that the accused’s in-laws are in the village Kasalna. It is being told that the accused Kavita had come to Tian village on Monday for the Devarana Mela, which took place in her maternal home. She is the only child of Terepan. What was the reason behind the father-daughter fight is still unclear.
