Russian pilot lands plane in corn field, saves 233 lives

An aircraft crash landed in a corn filed after hitting a flock of birds as it flew from the Moscow capital of Russia on Thursday. Lives of 233 passengers onboard were in danger after several birds were trapped in the aircraft’s engine.

In such a situation, the pilot sensibly saved the life of the passengers by landing the plane in a corn field. 23 passengers received minor injuries, including five children.

According to Russian media, the Ural Airlines plane Airbus 321 flew on Thursday from Moscow’s Zhukovskiy airport to Simferopol in the Crimean penninsula.
