Uttarakhand corona update 26 July: 143 cases, 71 discharged
On Sunday, 143 new corona patients were found in Uttarakhand. This brings the total number of patients to 6104. 71 patients were discharged after recovering today, taking the total number of patients recovered to 3566.
According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Sunday, 51 cases were found in US Nagar, 46 in Dehradun, 26 in Haridwar, six in Uttarkashi, five in Nainital, three in Almora, three in Pauri while one each in Rudraprayag, Tehri and Chamoli. 71 people undergoing treatment in various hospitals have been cured, taking the number of patients to be cured to 3566 and 2437 are active patients in the state.
State infection rate 4.6 percent
A total of 2379 samples were sent from across the state on Sunday for test. Out of which 597 have been sent from Haridwar district, 262 from Dehradun, 244 from Tehri. A total of 141431 samples have been sent for investigation in the state so far. Of which 126505 are negative while 6104 are positive. A total of 6090 sample reports are yet to come. The rate of corona patients doubling in the state is 22 days, the recovery rate of patients is 58 percent while the infection rate is 4.60 percent.
There has been a record increase in the number of containment zones to prevent corona infection in the state. As of Saturday, there were a total of 189 containment zones in the state, which has now increased to 223. This is the highest number of containment zones in the state. There are 182 containment zones in Haridwar district alone. While 12 Containment Zones have been created in Dehradun, 26 in US Nagar and three in Uttarkashi District. Here the number of patients in three districts in the state has exceeded one thousand. The maximum number of 1437 patients is in Dehradun district, 1129 in Haridwar while 1025 patients are in US city.
