Lake Carnival begins in Bhimtal

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, MP Ajay Bhatt, MLA Ram Singh Kaida, Chairman Devendra Singh Chanautia, Mayor Jogendra Pal Singh Rautela and District President Pradeep Bisht launched the three-day lake carnival to light the lamp and flag off the carnival parade in Bhimtal’s mini stadium on Sunday. The CM inspected various stalls set up at Lake Carnival.

CM announced construction of helipad at Bhimtal Vikas Bhawan, beautification of the Kainchuli Devi temple and badminton hall. Although the construction of helipad in Bhimtal was also announced by Prakash Pant, finance minister in BJP, but the helipad could not be built. CM said that there is a lot of potential for mountaineering, river rafting, paragliding, mountain camping, biking in the state. Due to this, Nainital has been included in the new 13 tourist destinations.

He said that from January 1, 2020, old age pension will be given to the Social Welfare Department across the state. The CM also said that work will be started soon on the announcement of parking construction in Bhimtal. He spoke of the government’s efforts to open the closed industries of Bhimtal. He urged people and women to come forward to increase growth centers and hill products.

MP Ajay Bhatt also expressed his views. MLA Ram Singh Kaida made CM aware of 32 problems which included recruitment in vacant posts in Khansu Tahsil, Gowala to Kalaagar pumping scheme of Okhalkanda, degree college and Bhimtal campus in Ramgarh, simplify road construction in the land of Van Panchayat etc.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that there has been an increase in GDP in Uttarakhand. The problem of GDP in the country is urgent, which will be resolved in time. Rawat said this in brief talks with reporters at the Collectorate campus. CM said that Uttarakhand’s GDP is better than other states of the country.
Based on the latest report, Uttarakhand’s GDP has improved in India after Karnataka. He said that the state’s gross domestic product has increased by 32 percent. In response to a question, he said that a special campaign is being carried out to save the forests of the state. The state has more than 81 percent forest area. He claimed that the people of the state are aware of themselves to save forests.

The Chief Minister said that there are immense possibilities of tourism and film production in Uttarakhand. After the efforts of the government, the number of tourists visiting here has increased by 36 percent in the last one year. In the last one year more than two hundred films have been shot in Uttarakhand, which has given a new identity to the state. He said that Uttarakhand has also received the Best Film Friendly State Award.
