Covid-19 vaccine human trials to begin in UK and Germany

Human trials of vaccine are going to start in Britain and Germany for treatment of Coronavirus from today. There are 150 vaccine projects currently underway in the world, but Germany and the UK are among the five countries that have been allowed clinical trials.

Britain’s Oxford University and Germany’s Federal Institute will test Corona vaccines on 510 and 200 healthy people repectively. The age group on whom the trials will be conducted will be 18 years to 55 years. During the trial, different types of vaccines will be given to different people and it will be seen how effective it is in eliminating the virus.

Its side effects will also be tested separately. Britain’s Health Minister Matt Hancock said the vaccine is the only effective way to fight the coronavirus. An amount of £ 25 million is being made available to the Imperial College in London for vaccine trials.

Oxford research director Professor Sarah Gilbert estimated the vaccine to be about 80 percent likely to succeed. The UK is ready to throwing everything in its search for the vaccine, but according to a report, Oxford University and UK virologists are also worried about it.

Scientists fear that if anything goes wrong in this, thousands of millions of people may be affected by it. Many types of questions are also arising regarding the safety of the lab. Britain’s Chief Scientific Advisor Sir Patrick Vallance has also expressed concern about this.

At the same time, Germany’s biotech company BioNTech has made the vaccine of Covid-19. BioNTech, along with the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer, created this vaccine. Which is named BNT 162. After Germany, it is likely to be tried in the US as well.
