E-Hospital services launched in Doon Medical College

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched the much-awaited telemedicine service and e-hospital service at Doon Medical College in the state. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat said that this service will prove to be a perfect tool for measures like reducing congestion in hospitals to reduce the spread of infection in a worldwide pandemic like Covid-19 as well as offer services in remote areas where expert opinion for medical services is much needed. On the occasion of inauguration of e-hospital service at Doon Medical College, Dehradun, CM Trivendra Singh said that the online management of services offered to patients with the introduction of e-hospital facility will help in increasing the quality of work. He said that e-hospital service is already being run in Deen Dayal Hospital (Coronation), Dehradun and District Hospital Almora.

Telemedicine software provided by NIC, Government of India, will be used in district hospitals and other hospitals of the state. The service will be available through https://ors.gov.in and https://ehospital.gov.in. At the same time, Sanjeevani Telemedicine software provided by CDAC will be used in the medical colleges of the state. The e-Sanjeevani telemedicine service will be available through https://esanjeevaniopd.in. For this service, any patient will also be able to seek medical opinion from mobile phone. Presently this service has been started in District Hospital Almora, Deen Dayal Hospital (Coronation) Dehradun, Base Hospital Haldwani, Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani and Doon Medical College Dehradun. In future, it will be expanded to all district hospitals and medical colleges.
