Center issues guidelines for Unlock 4

The government has announced guidelines for Unlock 4, further easing the lockdown rules implemented to prevent corona infection. Sports, entertainment, religious, political programs have been allowed in Unlock 4, which will be implemented from September 1, Metro will also start running in a phased manner. However, schools, colleges, other educational institutions will remain closed till 30 September.

According to the guideline issued for unlock-4 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, social, political, religious programs will be allowed from September 21 with a maximum limit of 100 persons. These programs will include wearing masks, following social distancing, thermal scanning, use of handwash and sanitizer. The open air theater has also been allowed to open from 21 September. The cinema hall, swimming pool and theater will be closed till 30 September.

International air travel will remain suspended except for travel approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs. School-colleges are closed, but up to 50 percent of teaching in the states, union territories, non-teaching staff can be called to schools for work related to online teaching, tele-counseling. In schools located beyond Containment Zones, students from ninth grade to 12th grade may be allowed to leave with the written consent of the parent.

Lockdown to be implemented in Containment zones

The central government has extended the lockdown in Containment Zones by 30 September 2020. The identity of Containment Zones is referred to the district administration as before. Containment zones mandate strict restrictions excluding essential services.

Metro services to resume gradually

Unlock 4 Guidelines have been announced. From September 7, it has been approved to run the metro in a phased manner. Guidelines issued by the government said that metro trains will be started in a phased manner from September 7 by the Ministry of Urban Development / Ministry of Railways in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Metro operations have been closed throughout the country since March 22 due to the lockdown implemented to prevent corona virus infection.

The introduction of metro service will provide a big relief to the people of Delhi NCR who prefer to ride the metro to go to office or elsewhere. During the Corona period, special preparations have been made to run the metro safely.
