CM Rawat 74th Independence day speech highlights

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat hoisted the flag at the Police Line Dehradun on the occasion of 74th Independence Day. He also honored the Corona Warriors. On this occasion, CM Trivendra made 12 announcements for Garsain. In which 50 bedded sub district hospital will be established in CHC Garrison. Tele-medicine facilities will be provided in the hospital. A mini secretariat will be established in Bharadisain assembly constituency. Pumping drinking water line will be constructed in Bharadisain area. Signage will be installed in Bharadisain-Garinsain. In Bharadisain-Garsain area, Jio OFC, networking will be expanded. Sanction will be given for the construction of 08 rooms in the Public Works Department Inspection Building, Garsain. Cold storage and food processing plants will be set up in Garsain block for agricultural development.02 additional class rooms will be constructed in GIC Bharadisain. Funds will be sanctioned for the construction and equipment of the state ITI Garrison.

Chief Minister Rawat congratulated all the people on the occasion of 74th anniversary of independence. He bowed to all freedom fighters and martyred soldiers of military and paramilitary forces and immortal martyrs and agitators who sacrificed their lives for the country. He said that ‘the conditions on this Independence Day are very different. The entire country is fighting the global pandemic Covid-19 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hon’ble Prime Minister took bold decisions at the right time in the interest of the country, due to which it is (pandemic) in controlled state. To strengthen the economy, Hon’ble Prime Minister has given a package of 20 lakh crores. In it care has been taken in the interests of laborers, the poor, farmers, traders, entrepreneurs.

The CM said that in honor of the sentiments of the people of the state, the state government has made Gairsain the summer capital of Uttarakhand. A formal notification has also been issued. Now an action plan is being prepared for the development of necessary facilities in Garsain as per the capital. Last year, 36 lakh devotees visited the Chardham Yatra. Therefore, Chardham Devasthanam Board has been formed with a view to future requirements, facilities of devotees and development of infrastructure. Covid-19 is being fought in Uttarakhand with the cooperation of all. The focus is on surveillance, sampling, testing. Adequate number of Covid hospitals, isolation beds, ICU beds, oxygen support beds and ventilators are available in the state. Today, all districts of the state have ICU, ventilator and oxygen support system. After Dehradun, Srinagar, Almora, Haldwani, Rudrapur, medical colleges are also being set up in Haridwar and Pithoragarh. In the last about three years, the number of doctors in the mountainous areas has already been almost two and a half times. Telemedicine and teleradiology are also proving helpful. Upgradation of health sub-centers at the village level as health and wellness centers is being done.

Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to provide free medical care of 5 lakh rupees per year to all the families of the state under the Atal Ayushman Yojana. So far, golden cards of about 40 lakh people have been made, and about 1 lakh 82 thousand patients have received free treatment under the scheme. About 162 crore rupees have been spent on it. State government personnel and pensioners have also been included under this. In the Atal Ayushman Yojana, more than 22 thousand hospitals across the country are listed in it, giving the facility of national portability. About four lakh migrants have been brought back to Uttarakhand safely through various means. We are also concerned about their employment. These have been registered on the Hope portal while doing skill mapping. Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana has been started for the youth and the returned migrants in the state. Loans and grants have been provided under MSME. About 150 types of works have been included in it. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, about 62 lakh persons of Uttarakhand state are being distributed 5 kg of rice per person per month and 1 kg of pulses per family for free.

The Chief Minister said that under the circumstances of Covid-19, industries have been given many reliefs. In the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Swarojgar Yojana and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Home-Stay Scheme, loan waivers were given from April to June. With the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, various projects of about one lakh crore rupees of the center have been approved for the state. Work is also going on fast on many schemes. Among them are Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, Chardham Road Project, Kedarnath Dham Reconstruction, Bharatmala Project, Jamrani Multipurpose Project, Namami Gange, Dehradun Smart City etc. Road, rail and air connectivity has expanded significantly. Special emphasis has been laid on air connectivity. 27 heliports are being developed in the state. High level institutions have been established in the state.

These include the country’s first Drone Application Center in in Doiwala, Coast Guard Recruitment Center, National Law University, Almora Center of Excellence on Natural Fiber. The Government of India has sanctioned 2 thousand crores for the Bharat Net Phase-2 project. The “Har Ghar Ko Nal Se Jal” scheme has targeted to provide clean water to more than 1.5 million families in the state. This target will be achieved in three years. In rural areas. New STP in 15 priority cities in Namami Gange are built. A 14 MLD capacity STP based on the country’s first hybrid annuity model has been established in Haridwar.

The Chief Minister said that loans up to Rs. 3 lakh to farmers and up to Rs. 5 lakh to women self-help groups are being provided without interest. The rural economy is being strengthened by the Home Stay Scheme.
13 District-13 New destinations are developing new tourist centers. The largest tulip garden in the country is being built in Pithoragarh. With the introduction of NCERT syllabus in state schools, smart classes have also been started for quality education. Extensive public campaign has been started to revive the rivers, lakes, ponds and water bodies of the state.

Chief Minister Trivendra  Singh Rawat said that the honorarium of Anganwadi worker, Anganwadi assistant, mini Anganwadi worker has been increased. The honorarium of folk artists of the state was doubled. The amount of old age, widow and PwD was increased from Rs 1000 per month to Rs 1200 per month. The honorarium of the village guards was increased to Rs. 2000 thousand per month. The ex-gratia amount was increased to Rs. 15 lakhs on receipt of gallantry during the police action of the personnel of the police department. Accident relief amount has been increased from 50 thousand to 1 lakh on death, 40 thousand to 20 thousand for serious injuries and from 5 thousand to 10 thousand for ordinary injuries. Pension is being given to 62 democracy fighters who went to jail during the Emergency in 1975 for their significant contribution to the defense of democracy.
