Uttarakhand daily Corona update: 464 cases found on 20 December

On Sunday, 464 new corona patients were found in the state, while five infected people died. With this, the total number of patients has increased to 86317. While the total figure of the dead has increased to 1413.

According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Sunday, 22 in Almora, 4 in Bageshwar, 18 in Chamoli, 5 in Champawat, 188 in Dehradun, 31 in Haridwar, 73 in Nainital, 17 in Pauri, 42 in Pithoragarh, 16in Rudraprayag, 11 in Tehri, 19 in US Nagar while 18 patients in Uttarkashi have been found to have corona infection.

On Sunday, three people died in AIIMS Rishikesh, one in Haldwani Medical College and one infected in Velmed Hospital Dehradun. On Sunday, 347 patients from state hospitals were discharged after treatment.

With this, the total number of patients who have been cured so far has been 77673. While 6177 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and home isolation.

A total of 9112 samples were sent from across the state on Sunday for investigation. The report of more than 13 thousand patients came negative while the report of more than 12 thousand is yet to come. The rate of corona infection in the state is 3.34 percent while the recovery rate of patients is 89.99 percent.

99 thousand patients examined in a week

In the 40th week of the corona period, about 99 thousand patients of corona were tested in the state. Corona infection was detected in 3914 patients during this week. 3904 patients recovered after treatment while 57 patients died.

Uttarakhand has higher Corona death rate than country

The death rate of corona patients in the state is higher than the national average. The death rate of patients in the country is currently 1.45 percent while in the state the rate has gone up to 1.64 percent.

Uttarakhand is also lagging behind in terms of rate of recovery. The rate of recovery in the country has reached close to 96 percent. Whereas the Recovery rate in the state is continuously falling and on Sunday it has slipped below 90 percent.
