Delhi government announces weekend curfew

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister has announced a weekend curfew in the capital to curb the growing cases of Corona virus infection in the capital Delhi. Under this, the weekend curfew will start at 10 pm on Friday night and will end at 5 am on Monday. Many restrictions will remain in force during the weekend curfew. The weekend curfew has been announced today i.e Thursday, after an important meeting between Lt. Governor Anil Baijal. According to CM Arvind Kejriwal, curfew will remain in Delhi on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday. At present, these provisions have been made till 30 April.

 

Weekend curfew in Delhi details

  • Curfew is being imposed over the weekend, which will be effective Saturday-Sunday.
  • The cinema hall will open with a 30 percent capacity.
  • Essential services will not be disrupted during the weekend curfew in Delhi.
  • E-passes will be given for weddings
  • Gyms, spas and auditoriums will remain closed.
  • The weekly market will take only one in a zone every day.
  • You will not be able to sit and eat food in the restaurant. Take away deliveries will be allowed.

Who will get relief during curfew

  • Motorists coming from other states along with train and air passengers are exempted while imposing weekend curfew. Will be able to travel by showing tickets.
  • Private doctor nurse paramedical staff will also get exemption on showing ID card
  • Journalist will get exemption (both print and electronic media)
  • Those who get the vaccine at night will be exempt.
  • Shoppers associated with ration, grocery, fruit, vegetable, milk, medicine will be allowed to get movement through e-pass only.

Gym, spa and auditorium will remain closed

Congestion is a major and important reason for the spread of corona virus infection. In view of this, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced closure of gym, spa and auditorium.
