Bhuvi denies reports of not wanting to play test cricket

Team India’s fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has replied on media reports in which it was stated that swing king is not inclined to play Test cricket due to which he was omitted from the WTC Finals. Bhuvneshwar tweeted that such reports were baseless and said that he is ready to play in all three formats from India.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar tweeted, “There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same. Suggestion – please don’t write your assumptions based on “sources”! ” Bhuvi has not been selected in the Indian team for the tour of England. India will play the final match of the World Test Championship against New Zealand earlier in the tour of England. India will then play a five-match Test series against the host team.

Earlier, according to a media report, it was claimed that Bhuvneshwar now wanted to shift his focus from Test cricket to limited over cricket. The report further stated that his training regime had changed which showed more inclination towards white ball cricket which the 31 year old has denied.

 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar last played a Test match against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2018. Bhuvneshwar suffered an injury against Chennai Super Kings in the last season of the IPL, due to which he could not join the tour of Australia. Bhuvneshwar made his Test debut for India in 2013. He has played 21 Test so far. He has 63 wickets in 21 Tests at an average of 26.09.
