Researchers keep close watch on R.1 variant of Corona

The new variants coming in front of Corona have increased the concern of experts. The World Health Organization recently told that the delta variant of Corona has engulfed all the countries of the world. Meanwhile, a team of scientists studying new forms of corona has warned people about a new and potentially dangerous variant. Researchers have recently identified a new variant R.1 of the coronavirus.

Researchers say that at present the cases of this new variant of corona are very less, but people need to be very careful with it. The way the nature of this variant has been seen, it is believed that it can be quite contagious.

What is the new variant of Corona R.1 ?

According to reports, the variant R.1 of Corona is not a new variant. This variant was first identified in Japan last year, since then this variant is now increasing in other countries of the world. So far, cases have been seen in about 35 countries including the United States. According to the latest report, more than 10,000 people have fallen victim to this variant worldwide. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a weekly report that this variant of the corona can be dangerous, although it has seen less effect in people who have been vaccinated.

How infectious are scientists considering the new variant?

The team of scientists studying the variant says that R.1 is a new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in which some mutations have been observed. In other words, like any new strain, R.1 can affect people differently than the original coronavirus.
