Smriti Mandhana scores half century in historic pink ball test

The Day Night-Test match between the Indian women’s cricket team and the Australia women’s cricket team has begun. Indian women’s cricket team was asked to bat first in this test match played with pink ball. Smriti Mandhana has created history for India in the Pink Ball Test match. She has become the first Indian woman cricketer to score a fifty for India in a pink ball test match. Significantly, the Indian women’s team is playing its first pink ball test match.

Mandhana completed her fifty in 51 balls. In this innings, Smriti hit 11 fours. This is his third fifty in her Test career. Till the time of publishing the news, India has scored 114 runs for the loss of one wicket till lunch on the first day. Mandhana 70 and Poonam Raut were unbeaten on 8 runs. Earlier, there was a partnership of 93 runs between Mandhana and Shefali Verma for the wicket. Shefali scored 31 runs. She scored these runs in 64 balls and hit four fours.

Earlier, the Australian women’s cricket team won the toss and decided to bowl. Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Wareham, Darcy Brown and Stella Campbell made their debuts for Australia while Yastika Bhatia and Meghna Singh made their debuts for India.
