Nagina-Kashipur toll plaza likely to be operational by December

Toll plaza in village Haldua Shahu on Nagina-Kashipur four lane is expected to start from December. For this, the amount of toll to be collected from the vehicles has also been fixed approximately. Approval is yet to be obtained from NHAI only. It is likely that 75 rupees will be charged from light weight vehicles on one side. Whereas for the return journey, Rs 110 will have to be paid.

Different toll amount has been fixed for other vehicles. The construction of Nagina to Kashipur highway is almost complete. PNC manager Manoj Kumar said that from June 1, the old toll plaza of Nagina has been started. Whereas the toll plaza at Haldua Shahu, located eight km from Jaspur on Kashipur Road, will be started from December.

For light motor vehicles passing through the toll, Rs 75 will be charged for one way journey for cars, jeeps, vans etc. and Rs 110 for return journey in 24 hours. The month pass covers a maximum of 50 trips. 2425 will be fixed from these vehicles. He said that Rs 35 can be recovered from commercial vehicles of load capacity which are registered in the district.

For commercial vehicles of light load capacity like minibus etc., one-way toll is 115 rupees while in case of return, 175 toll can be charged. The monthly pass fee can be Rs 3915. Rs 245 for one way from a bus or truck with two axles and Rs 370 in return can be taken. The price of the monthly pass is likely to go up to Rs 8205. For commercial vehicles with three axles, a toll of Rs 270 can be charged for one way and Rs 405 for the return. The monthly pass is likely to be Rs 8950. At the same time, Rs 135 can be recovered from them for commercial registration in the district.

In vehicles with heavy construction material machines, IICM, Earth Moving Equipment, EME, Multi Axle Vehicles will be charged a toll of Rs 385 for one way and Rs 580 for return. Monthly pass will be made of Rs 12863. Whereas in case of commercial registration in the district, the toll is fixed at Rs 195.
