Canada qualifies for FIFA World Cup after 36 years

Canada has made it to the FIFA World Cup after 36 years. Canada ended a three-decade wait by defeating Jamaica 4-0. Heroes of the victory were Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan, Junior Hoilett and Adrian Mariappa, who scored the goal to lead the team to the World Cup. Prior to this, Canada had played only once in the 1986 World Cup.
