Opening dates announed for Tungnath for 2022 season
Today, on Baisakhi festival, the date of opening the doors of the second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar and the third Kedar Lord Tungnath was announced. The date and time of opening the doors of the third Kedar Lord Tungnath was announced with the rituals in the Omkareshwar temple, with the help of the Panchang calculations in the Omkareshwar temple.
On May 19, the doors of the second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar will be opened as per tradition. Whereas on May 6, the doors of Lord Tungnath will open. The doors of first of the Panch Kedar- Kedarnath will also open on this day. The day of departure of procession from Ukhimath to Madmaheshwar was also fixed.
Rajkumar Nautiyal, senior administrative officer of Omkareshwar temple, told that on Baisakhi, April 14, at 9 am at Panchkedar Gaddisthal, Ukhimath and Markateshwar temple complex, Makkumath, on the basis of Panchang calculations by Acharya and Vedapathis, date has been announced for opening of the doors of second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar and third Lord Tungnath.
The program of departure from the winter seat was also scheduled.
