6.8 magnitude Earthquake strikes Taiwan

The tremors of an earthquake have been felt once again in Taiwan on Sunday. In this way, a big magnitude earthquake has occurred here for the second time within the last 24 hours. The quake has a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale and affected the Taitung county . Earlier on Saturday also a strong tremor of earthquake was felt here. Due to this, a building had collapsed here and the roads were damaged in many places.

It is said that many houses have been damaged due to the earthquake. Apart from this, the incident of violent shaking of some coaches of the train has also come to the fore due to the earthquake. According to the information, earthquake tremors are coming here continuously for the last two days.

It is being told that the radius of the earthquake was about 10 km. According to the Taiwan Rail Administration, six coaches of the train derailed at Dongli station in eastern Taiwan. However, the fire department has said that no one was injured.

Earthquake tremors were felt in southeast Taiwan on Saturday evening. According to the report of the news agency AP, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.4 on the Richter scale. No loss of life or property due to the earthquake has been reported so far. However, the US Geological Survey put the magnitude of the quake at 6.6. The US Geological Survey said the epicenter was near Guanshan Township in Taitung County at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 mi).
