Government advises use of masks in crowded places; random sampling of international travellers

A high-level meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya regarding Corona, which is once again threatening to wreak havoc in some countries including China. After this Mandaviya said that Corona has not gone yet. All concerned have to be alert and careful about this. On the other hand, NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul said that the third or precautionary dose of corona vaccines is mandatory. Everyone should take it. It has also been advised to wear masks in crowded places.

After the meeting, Mandaviya tweeted, ‘In view of the increasing corona cases in some countries, we reviewed the situation in the country with experts and officials. Covid is not gone yet. All concerned have been instructed to remain vigilant and strengthen monitoring. We are ready to deal with any situation.’

Only 27-28 percent people got the third dose: Dr. Paul

Niti Aayog member Dr. VK Paul, who attended the meeting, said that only 27-28 percent of the people of the country have got the precautionary or third dose of corona vaccines. We appeal to all others, especially the elderly, to take this dose. This dosage is essential and prescribed for all.

Genome sequencing started in Delhi

Meanwhile, genome sequencing of corona positive cases has been resumed. Following the order of the Central Government, positive samples are being collected for genome sequencing at Lok Nayak and ILBS Hospitals of Delhi Government. Director of Lok Nayak Hospital, Dr. Suresh Kumar told that genome sequencing of positive samples will be done on daily basis. From this it will be known whether any new variant of Corona is not becoming dominant or not. Significantly, new cases of corona in Japan, South Korea, Brazil, China and America are increasing in an alarming manner.

Earlier, Union Minister of State for Health Dr. Bharti Pawar told that on Tuesday a guideline was issued regarding genome sequencing.

Random checking will be done at IGI Airport

Random checking will be done once again at Indira Gandhi International Airport. If sources are to be believed, people coming from Corona affected countries will be compulsorily screened. It will be seen whether any passenger has any symptoms. If symptoms are found in anyone, they will be quarantined.

The situation in the country is still under control

If we look at the Corona figures of the last few days, 12 deaths have been registered in India due to infection in the last week. Not a single case of death due to Corona has been reported for the last three days. This is the lowest in terms of daily deaths since March 2020. Talking about the cases of Corona, 1103 new cases of Corona have been registered in the last week.
