Chardham Yatra 2023: Registration will start from February 20, arrangements will be made for both online and offline registrations

Preparations for Chardham Yatra have started in Uttarakhand. On Tuesday, Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar held the first meeting of Chardham Yatra season with officials of various departments in Rishikesh. During the meeting, problems faced during the yatra in the past and preparation of arrangements along with their solutions were discussed.

During this it was decided that the registration for the yatra would start from 20 February. There will be online as well as offline system for registration. It was said that for this information related to travel should be given by correspondence in other states. This time there will be arrangement of offline registration along with online registration. Facilities should be increased at Pipalkoti, Helang, Pandukeshwar and Govind Ghat travel stops. Along with this, it was also decided that registration would be done through a single app of the Transport and Tourism Department. Last year, due to registration through two apps, the devotees had to face a lot of trouble.

The Garhwal commissioner  instructed the temple committee to make SOP. Instead of two separate apps of the Tourism and Transport Department, only one app should be used for registration in travel. District Magistrates of different districts and officers of different departments including SSP participated in the meeting.
