Inclement weather forecast in Kedarnath for next few days, new registration halted till May 15

New registration for the Yatra to Kedarnath Dham have been till May 15. Joint Director Tourism Yogendra Gangwar said that this decision has been taken in view of the forecast of the Meteorological Department. There will be a suspension on new registration till 15th but the devotees who have already registered will be able to travel. Till May 13, 1.45 lakh Yatris have registered for Kedarnath.

1.75 lakh pilgrims have visited Kedarnath Dham

The number of pilgrims who have visited the Char Dham Yatra so far has crossed five lakh. Maximum 1.75 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham. According to the report released by the Tourism Department, from April 22 to May 7, more than 505286 lakh pilgrims have visited Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. In this, 1.75 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham, 1.18 lakh in Badrinath, 1.13 lakh in Gangotri, 1 lakh in Yamunotri temple.
