Temperature crosses 39 in Haldwani; know when will monsoon reach Uttarakhand

The temperature is rising in the city. The maximum temperature has crossed the threshold of 39 degrees. It is a matter of relief that the Meteorological Department has predicted rain soon.

On Wednesday, people were troubled due to the heat during the day. The heat was felt from the morning itself. By afternoon it became difficult to get out of the house. Due to the heat, there was less crowd in the market. People were seen spending the day in their homes with the help of coolers and ACs. The city’s maximum temperature was 39.3 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 20.4 degrees.

For the sixth time in the last 11 years, the temperature of the city has crossed 39 degrees in June. It is a matter of relief that the Meteorological Department has predicted rain on June 10. The plains may receive up to 15 mm of rain, which will put a brake on the rising mercury. After that the temperature will rise again. However, this time the mercury has not reached 40 degrees in the summer season.

Forecast: Monsoon will reach Uttarakhand seven days late

Monsoon normally reaches Uttarakhand by June 23. This time it is estimated to reach the state by June 29 or 30. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone formed in the Arabian Sea has slowed down the speed of the monsoon due to which the monsoon is not progressing normally. If there is no other weather event, the monsoon will hit the state by the end of June.

Monsoon rains are expected to be normal this time. Monsoon has been arriving late in the state for the last few years. However, it has also been seen that now the monsoon remains active for a long time. In the year 2021, the monsoon arrived in Uttarakhand on June 13, while in the years 2019 and 2020 it reached on July 3. In the year 2022, it reached after 23rd June.
