No entry of heavy vehicles in Haridwar from July 9 to 17

Police has implemented the traffic route diversion plan regarding the Kanwar Yatra 2023. Entry of heavy vehicles will be restricted in the city from July 9 to 17. The system of traffic plan will keep changing on different dates. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said that a traffic plan has been issued regarding the Kanwar fair. In view of the crowd in the fair, a plan has been prepared according to different days.

This will be route diversion

In case of heavy traffic in Haridwar, all vehicles coming from Delhi Meerut side will be diverted to Haridwar via Service Lane NH 334.

Vehicles going from Punjab and Saharanpur to Haridwar will be sent from Bhagwanpur NH-344 to Bijauli Abdul Kalam Chowk via Nangla Imarti service lane and will be sent to Haridwar via Laksar.

All vehicles going towards Dehradun and other hilly areas will be diverted from Rampur Tiraha, Muzaffarnagar UP and sent to Dehradun and hilly areas via Deoband Gagalhedi Mohand.

All the vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon will be diverted from Vilaspur Tiraha and sent from Najibabad to Kumaon area via Mirapur, Bijnor.

On normal days, all vehicles going towards Najibabad and Kumaon will be diverted to Kumaon via Nangla Imarti Service Lane NH 334 via Laksar-Balawali to Bijnor via Najibabad.

All vehicles going from Delhi Meerut Muzaffarnagar to Dehradun will be diverted from Bijauli Service Lane Abdul Kalam Chowk to Bhagwanpur NH-344 via Mandawar and Mohand to Dehradun and hilly areas.

This system will remain in these dates

  • From July 2 to July 8, except for vehicles used in essential services, the entry of all heavy vehicles into the city will be restricted from 5 am to 11 pm.
  • From July 9 to 17, entry of all heavy vehicles except those used in essential services will be restricted.
  • From July 2 to July 7, all vehicles will run normally on the pre-decided route only.
  • From July 8 to July 15, all small and big vehicles coming to the Kanwar fair will be diverted to parking places.
  • From July 8 to July 17, all small and big vehicles entering from the district border towards Haridwar city will be diverted through alternative routes.
