Uttarakhand rain update: Heavy rain alert for 4 districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rains in four districts of Uttarakhand. Meteorological Director Vikram Singh says that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri in the next 24 hours.
Heavy rains may occur in Dehradun, Tehri, Almora, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. At the same time, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms within three to four hours of rain. He has advised the people living on the banks of the river to be alert till August 15.

All schools will remain closed tomorrow in Chamoli district
In view of the rain alert of the Meteorological Department, a holiday has been declared tomorrow i.e, August 10 in all the government and private schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 in Chamoli district.
