Uttarakhand weather update: Weather likely to change for the next three days

There is a possibility of change in the weather across the state from Wednesday for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in most of the districts. Whereas, on Wednesday, yellow alert of rain has been issued for the hilly districts.

According to the Meteorological Center, there may be several rounds of rain with strong thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly districts. However, the weather will remain dry in the plains. Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said, there is a possibility of rain in most areas of the state from September 6 to 8. Due to which there can be relief from heat in the plains. However, due to slowing down of monsoon, there will be no torrential rains.

The weather pattern changed in the border areas of Pithoragarh district on Monday night. During this period, there were strong winds and rain in the town of Munsiyari for about half an hour. Due to strong winds, a tree fell in front of Tehsil Colony and an electric wire and pole got damaged.

First snowfall of the season on high peaks

The first snow of the season fell on the high peaks of the Himalayas. This year the first snowfall of the season fell on Monday night. On Tuesday morning the peaks were seen covered with fresh snow.
