Hardik Pandya ruled out of India’s World Cup campaign due to injury

The Indian team has had a great journey so far in the World Cup 2023. Played 7 matches and won all of them. India entered the semi-finals by defeating Sri Lanka, but with this came bad news for the team before the important matches. The star all-rounder, who was injured in the match against Bangladesh, has been ruled out of the entire tournament. Prasidh Krishna has been included as the replacement for Pandya.

Hardik was injured in the league match against Bangladesh in Pune. While fielding his own ball, the ball hit him directly in his ankle. After this he had an ankle injury. Although, it was expected that he would return to the team before the knockout matches, but it could not happen. It will take time for him to become fully fit, for which he is out of the tournament. This is a big shock for Team India after reaching the semi-finals.

This player named as replacement

Hardik Pandya’s replacement has also been announced. In his place, right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been added to the squad. Prasidh has played 17 ODI matches for India so far. He has managed to take 29 wickets in these matches. Talking about the year 2023, he has played only three ODI matches. He took 4 wickets in these 3 matches.
