Uttarakhand weather update: Weather changes from mountains to plains
The weather changed in Uttarakhand since Monday. The cold has increased from mountains to plains. There was fresh snowfall in Badrinath Dham in the morning on Tuesday. At the same time, it is cloudy in the lower areas. The day started with light fog in some areas.
Temperature dropped by seven degrees in Mussoorie
Queen of Hills Mussoorie and Dhanaulti had cloudy weather. At the same time, the morning maximum temperature in the hill station has dropped to 7 degrees. Due to which the cold has increased.
Rain snowfall alert
There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in the hilly areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. There is also a possibility of snowfall in higher altitude areas. There may be fog in the plains, especially in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar, while weather in Doon will remain cloudy.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light and thunderous rain at isolated places in the hilly areas of the state, Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. There is a possibility of snowfall at places higher than 3500 meters.
Moderate fog may occur in some areas of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. The weather will remain dry in the remaining districts. In Doon, the sky will be clear at some places and partly cloudy at other places. The maximum and minimum temperature of Doon is likely to be 24 degree Celsius and minimum 12 degree Celsius.
