Over 170 flights impacted due to weather in Delhi

Wednesday morning was accompanied by fog in 17 states of the country. The mercury was recorded at 4°C in Delhi. Air and rail traffic is being affected here. Over 170 flights have been affected at Delhi Airport. These include both domestic and international flights. 20 trains reaching Delhi were also running late.

According to the Meteorological Department, the situation of dense fog and strong cold wave will persist in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab till January 18. Red alert has been issued.

There is an alert for cold wave and fog in UP-Bihar till January 18. Fog is expected in MP and Uttarakhand on January 17. There is a possibility of rain along with fog in the North-East states including Sikkim, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh today.

The day in Patna, Bihar has been colder than Jammu and Shimla. While the maximum day temperature in Patna was recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius, the day temperature in Jammu was recorded at 16.1 degrees Celsius.
