Uttarakhand’s first sports college for girls will open in Lohaghat
Uttarakhand will soon get is first sports college for girls. It will be establishe in Lohaghat of Champawat district to advance the sports talents and enhance their sports talent. The process of transfer of land for Girls Sports College has been completed. Earlier, State Chief Minister Dhami had announced to build the first Girls Sports College in Lohaghat. For which land was being selected. Now with the receipt of the land, the entire process of its transfer has been completed.
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that it is a matter of great happiness for all the girls of the state that soon Chief Minister Pushkar Singh will perform the bhoomi pujan of the Sports College. She said that the construction work of this girls sports college will be done on the lines of Maharana Pratap Sports College located in Dehradun. This sports college will also be residential. Where girls will have facilities for studying and playing as well as accommodation.
The minister said that high level facilities will be developed in this college. This will help girls to improve their sports skills. She said that the state government is continuously making efforts to promote sports talents. She said that ‘today our girls are bringing glory to the state and the country with their sports. In such a situation, this Girls Sports College will prove to be a milestone for them. Here the girl students will get balanced food, accommodation, sports kits, college uniform, text books and stationery, library and medical aid et. Here the girl students will also get all types of sports, education and high class facilities.’
