Hemkund Yatra 2024 to begin from May 25
Chardham Yatra 2024 is about to start in Uttarakhand. At the same time, on May 25, the doors of the famous Sikh pilgrimage site Hemkund Sahib will also be opened for devotees. Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust President Narendrajit Singh Bindra met Chief Secretary Radha Raturi at the Secretariat on Thursday and informed about this. He told that the doors of the Gurudwara will be opened on 25th May 2024 and will be closed on 10th October. This has also been agreed to by the state government. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the administration will provide full cooperation in this direction.
Weather at Hemkund Sahib
It has been snowing in the high altitude areas for the last four days. At present there is about eight feet of snow in Hemkund Sahib. Every year, the snow removal work by the army starts about a month in advance. This year, after the meeting of army officials, it will be decided when the snow will be removed.
