Mahindra launches special ‘Earth Edition’ of Thar, price starts from Rs 15.40 lakh
Vehicle manufacturer Mahindra has launched a new special edition of its Thar lifestyle SUV, which has been named Mahindra Thar Earth Edition. This new Thar SUV inspired by the desert is available in 4 variants and the ex-showroom price starts from Rs 15.40 lakh.

Based on the LX Hard Top 4×4 guide, the new Thar Earth Edition is available in 4 variants; Which includes Petrol MT, Petrol AT, Diesel MT and Diesel AT, whose ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 15.40 lakh to Rs 17.60 lakh.
Design
In terms of styling, the new Mahindra Thar Earth Edition is finished in Desert Fury Satin Matte colour. It has been given dune-inspired decals on its rear fenders and doors, matte black badges and silver finished alloy wheels. “Earth Edition” badging is also embossed on its B-pillar.
Inside the cabin, this special edition gets a dual-tone (black and light beige) scheme. The cabin is further enhanced with Desert Fury inserts on the AC vents, steering wheel, center console accent and the Thar branding on doors. The theme is elevated with embellishments of dark chrome accents. Each of the Thar Earth Edition SUVs will come with a unique numbered decorative VIN plate starting with serial number 1.

Powertrain
The new special edition has been introduced with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines as the regular model. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. The company is also offering several accessories with the new Thar Earth Edition, in which customers can update the front and rear armrests, floor mats and a comfort kit.
