Ancient cave entrance found during road construction in Pithoragarh

Road construction work has been stopped after discovery of the gate of an ancient cave in Munakot block in Pithoragarh. Its information has been sent to the district administration.

The work of road construction is being carried out from Chimtoli to Majheda via Kui gaon. During the work, when the laborers of the Construction company were cutting the road, on the removal of a few meters  of soil near Patkhali, the entrance of an ancient cave was seen. When the workers removed more soil, the cave also started to appear.

The workers gave this information to the contractor. Contractor Madan Singh Bisht stopped the work by reaching the spot. Different types of figures have emerged in the entrance to the cave. Seeing this many people are coming up with various theories. Nobody is able to get the courage to go inside the gate at the entrance to the cave. The detailed information about the cave’s length, height and inner secrets is not yet been found.
