Skeletal remains of a woman found in burnt car in Chamoli district

A burnt body of a woman was found in a car from Karnataka under suspicious circumstances on the Tapovan-Subhai road. On receiving information about the incident, top police and administration officials reached the spot. Police have started investigating the case suspecting murder. A mangalsutra found in the ashes at the spot has raised suspicion that the body is of a woman.
On Sunday morning, a car was found in a burnt condition on the Tapovan-Subhai road near Chachdi village in Bhavishya Badri area near Jyotirmath. Village youth Saurabh informed the police about this. When the police team including Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan Singh Bisht, Jyotirmath Kotwali in-charge Devendra Singh Rawat and SDRF team reached the spot, a burnt body was found in the car.
The body could not be identified, but due to the presence of mangalsutra in the ashes, the police is suspecting that the body is of a woman. The car is also badly burnt, but the number plate is recognizable, which is being said to be from Karnataka.
Locals told the police that on Saturday a young man and a young woman were seen traveling in this car in Bhavishya Badri area. Police is investigating the case from every angle. Police is searching for the young man considering the possibility of murder. Some CCTV footage has also been found in which both of them are seen.
