2nd NIT Uttarakhand convocation to be held on September 25

The second convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Uttarakhand will be held tomorrow (Saturday) in virtual mode. Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University and member of NITI Aayog will be the chief guest of the program. In the program, online degrees and gold medals will be given to B.Tech, M.Tech and research students.

NIT Uttarakhand registrar Dr. PM Kala said that due to the Corona period, the convocation ceremony is being organized virtually. The celebrations will begin in virtual mode from 10.35 am on September 25. The program will be inaugurated by Dr. Vijay Saraswat, member of NITI Aayog, while Dr. Ravindra Tyagi, President of BOG (Government Board) of NIT Uttarakhand will preside over the program.

The director of NIT will present the report of the institute along with the welcome address at 11.45 am in the program. The message of the Union Education Minister will be narrated at 11 am. Thereafter, the degrees of undergraduate (2015 and 2016 batch), post-graduate (2016, 2017 and 2018 batch) and PhD degrees will be awarded in the programme. Gold medals will be given to the best ranked students in the institute.
